Our source standard
We prefer enacted law, operative statutes, official agency notices, and original court orders. Provider websites support their own business and class details. Secondary reporting can help identify developments but is not treated as an official determination.
Human review
Automated monitoring may surface proposed updates. An editor reviews the evidence before publication. A successful automated check is not the same as editorial verification.
Dates mean different things
We distinguish the source publication date, our publication date, an effective date, and the date we last checked information. Historical context is labeled. A routine rebuild does not make old information new.
Corrections
Material corrections include a dated explanation. Superseded updates link to the newer position rather than disappearing. Send a correction.
Advertising
Paid placements are labeled. Payment cannot change program-certification status or editorial conclusions. Organic directory listings are available without payment.
